The Office of Academic Scholarships uses a holistic process to award freshman scholarships. In addition to test scores, high school grade point average, and the written scholarship application, other information, including but not limited to first-generation college student status, financial need, legacy status, and underrepresented community status may also be considered.

Annual award up to $5,000 or $8,000 per year
Who’s eligible?
- Students awarded the Silas Hunt Scholarship also receive a New Arkansan Non-Resident Tuition Award Scholarship
- Renewable for 4 years (5 years for Architecture students) with 30 hours per year and 2.75 GPA
- Awarded to students from underrepresented communities who have demonstrated outstanding academic leadership qualities and potential. Members of underrepresented communities include but are not limited to students from underrepresented ethnic or minority groups, students with interest in a field that does not typically attract members of their ethnicity or gender, and first-generation college students
