The Office of Academic Scholarships uses a holistic process to award freshman scholarships. In addition to test scores, high school grade point average, and the written scholarship application, other information, including but not limited to first-generation college student status, financial need, legacy status, and underrepresented community status may also be considered.

Annual award of $10,000 per year to National Merit, corporate, and University of Arkansas sponsored National Merit scholars

Who’s eligible?

• Awarded to Merit finalists who name the University of Arkansas as 1st choice to the National Merit Corporation
• Students awarded the Chancellor’s Merit Scholarship also receive a New Arkansan Non-Resident Tuition Award Scholarship
• Renewable for 4 years (5 years for Architecture students) with 30 hours per year and 2.75 GPA
