What is the U.S. Bank Student Scholarship 2026?

The U.S. Bank Student Scholarship 2026 turns a few minutes of phone time into a shot at real tuition money while you pick up practical finance habits. Instead of a long essay packet, you register once, open the U.S. Bank edition of the Zogo app, and stack short lessons on saving, budgeting, and paying for college. Each finished module also earns in-app coins you can swap for gift cards, so you get something even if you miss the big drawing.

U.S. Bank runs the program nationwide for legal residents of every state and the District of Columbia. High school students who are at least 17 and on track for accredited college or trade programs can join, along with undergraduates carrying at least six credits and vocational students who meet the published enrollment test. Graduate study is out of scope, and you must attend an eligible US institution to use any scholarship you win.

The structure rewards persistence more than luck alone. Finish 25 modules and you enter the pool for up to $2,500. Cross 50, 75, and eventually 150 modules by 30 October 2026 and you climb toward the $20,000 grand prize tier. Drawings happen twice: modules finished by 30 June feed the summer announcement, and the October cutoff closes the year. Read the Official Rules PDF on the bank site before you start, especially if you already used Zogo and need an app transfer so your progress counts.

Step by step

How to apply

Open the U.S. Bank Student Scholarship page and download the current Official Rules. Confirm eligibility, entry periods, and module thresholds before you register.
Fill out the web form with accurate contact information. U.S. Bank may text you a download link for Zogo after you sign up.
Use the scholarship-branded build. If you already had Zogo, request an app transfer so February through October 2026 modules count toward the sweepstakes.
Lessons cover saving, budgeting, paying for college, and related topics. Finishing more modules raises the prize tier you enter, though odds do not increase with module count.
In Zogo profile Settings, select opt-in for data sharing so module totals sync with the sweepstakes administrator.
Modules completed by 30 June 2026 count toward Entry Period 1 drawings. Modules completed by 30 October 2026 count toward Entry Period 2 and the grand prize tier.
GMR Marketing contacts potential winners by phone then email. Entry Period 1 winners are typically announced in early August; Period 2 winners in early December.

Do I need a U.S. Bank account to apply?

No. The registration form explicitly states that you do not need to be a U.S. Bank client. You do need to be a legal US resident who meets the student enrollment rules.

How much can I win with the U.S. Bank Student Scholarship?

Prize tiers map to module counts: 25 modules for up to $2,500, 50 for up to $5,000, 75 for up to $10,000, and 150 modules completed by 30 October 2026 for up to $20,000. Higher tiers enter you for larger possible awards, but selection remains a random drawing.

When is the U.S. Bank Student Scholarship deadline?

Modules completed by 30 June 2026 feed Entry Period 1 drawings. Modules completed by 30 October 2026 feed Entry Period 2 and the grand prize tier. Register early so you have time to finish lessons before those cutoffs.

Can graduate students enter the U.S. Bank Student Scholarship?

No. Published FAQ states that funds cannot apply to a graduate degree and that graduate students are not eligible. High school seniors heading to college, undergraduates with at least six credit hours, and trade or vocational students may qualify.

What is the Zogo access code for the U.S. Bank scholarship?

Official instructions list access code USB26 when the app requests one after you register. You should also see the U.S. Bank logo and a progress tracker on the home screen when you are in the correct app version.

Can I win twice in the same year?

You can win only one scholarship prize per program year. Entry Period 1 winners are not eligible for Entry Period 2 scholarship drawings, though they may still redeem Zogo coins for gift cards.

Who contacts U.S. Bank Student Scholarship winners?

GMR Marketing administers the sweepstakes. Potential winners receive phone calls first, then email if needed. Keep your registration contact details current through the announcement windows in August and December.
