Notre Dame Provost Fellowship 2027 - $75,000 Postdoc
The Notre Dame Provost Fellowship 2027 is a two-year postdoctoral appointment in the College of Arts and Letters at the University of Notre Dame. Eight fellows are hired for the 2027-2029 cohort, one each in Art, Art History and Design; English; German, Slavic and Eurasian Studies; Philosophy; Romance Languages and Literatures; Theology; the Initiative on Race and Resilience; and History and Philosophy of Science. Each fellow draws an annual salary of $75,000 plus $15,000 for research and training costs, gets office space, an assigned faculty mentor, and the option to teach without being required to. Applications go through Interfolio and close 1 December 2026 at 11:59pm EST, with decisions by 1 March 2027.
AAUW Research Publication Grant 2027 - $8,000 Award
The AAUW Research Publication Grant 2027, formally the American Short-Term Research Publication Grant, pays women scholars $8,000 in a single tranche to get a research manuscript ready for publication. The money covers drafting, editing, replicating research and answering reviewers, and can also go on housing, food and dependent care while you write. All fields qualify, with STEM researchers and those working on gender issues especially encouraged. You need a doctoral or terminal degree already in hand, US citizenship or permanent residency, and sole or first authorship on the manuscript. Applications open 17 August 2026 and close 30 September 2026 at 5pm ET, with awards announced in April 2027.
University of Florida Scholarship 2027 - Up to $80,000
The University of Florida Scholarship 2027 is the set of merit awards UF hands to admitted freshmen with no separate application. Presidential awards run $5,000, $8,000 or $10,000 a year, and out-of-state tuition waivers run up to $20,000 a year through the Gator Nation Scholarship, worth $80,000 across four years. Alongside them sit the invitation-only John V. Lombardi and Stamps scholarships for Honors admits, the need-based Machen Florida Opportunity Scholars package, and a $500 National Merit award. Roughly one in ten admitted freshmen gets a merit scholarship. Apply by the 1 November 2026 Early Action deadline for Fall 2027 entry, and offers land by mid-March 2027.
Harvard Radcliffe Fellowship 2027 - $78,000 Stipend
The Harvard Radcliffe Fellowship 2027 gives scholars, scientists, writers and artists nine months in Cambridge to finish an ambitious project, on a stipend of $78,000 plus $5,000 for project expenses. Fellows take up a full-time Harvard appointment as visiting fellows, get an office or studio in Byerly Hall, full Harvard Library access, and funded Harvard undergraduate research partners. Applications for the 2027-2028 year close 10 September 2026 at 5pm ET for the humanities, social sciences, creative arts, nonfiction and journalism, and 1 October 2026 for science, engineering and mathematics. Results go out by the end of March 2027, and the residency runs 1 September 2027 to 31 May 2028.
NPGH Global Health Fellowship 2027 - $67,824 Stipend
The NPGH Global Health Fellowship 2027 is a 12-month, NIH-funded research training year abroad, run by the Northern Pacific Global Health LEADERs consortium as part of the Fogarty International Center LAUNCH programme. Postdoctoral Fellows get a living stipend of $67,824 and $10,000 in research funds; predoctoral Scholars get $28,224 and $7,500. Health insurance, travel to and from the research site and an NIH orientation in Bethesda are all covered. You spend the year full-time at an approved site in Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, Cameroon, Peru, Thailand, Nepal or India with a mentor team on both ends. Applications for the 2027-2028 year close 15 September 2026 at 5pm Pacific, and fellowships begin 1 July 2027.
Yale Tobin Pre-Doctoral Fellows Program 2027 - Paid Predoc
The Yale Tobin Pre-Doctoral Fellows Program 2027 puts people with a bachelor's or master's degree into salaried, full-time research jobs at Yale for one to two years before they apply to a PhD in economics. Fellows are appointed as Postgraduate Associates, work under one or more named faculty mentors on a specific project, audit or take a Yale course each semester, and sit in a cohort of roughly 70 pre-docs. Yale sponsors J-1 visas for international fellows. There is no fixed deadline: projects are posted through the winter and reviewed on a rolling basis until each one is filled, with most positions starting in July to catch the multi-day orientation.
NIU Political Science Scholarship 2027 - Awards & Funding
The NIU Political Science Scholarship 2027 is the funding the Department of Political Science at Northern Illinois University puts in front of its own students, from named undergraduate scholarships awarded through the MyScholarships portal to graduate assistantships worth at least $14,000 a year for doctoral students. Undergraduates are matched to political science awards by filing one general application, which opens 15 November 2026 with a priority deadline of 31 January 2027. Graduate applicants apply to the MA or PhD by 15 January and are considered for assistantship support in the spring. Six named departmental graduate awards, including the Martin David Dubin Memorial Scholarship and the $1,000 Russell W. Smith Memorial Endowment, close on 1 March.
Amazon Tax Internship 2027 - 12 Weeks Paid in Seattle
Amazon's Global Tax team takes summer interns into real compliance and reporting work rather than shadowing, and the 2027 posting is live now. You spend 12 weeks between May and September 2027 in Seattle, working 40 hours a week across areas like US federal income tax reporting, cross-border withholding tax, state and local tax, US international tax and ASC 740 provision reporting, and you own a project end to end. Amazon lists starting pay for the Seattle role at $80,200 to $92,800 annualised, with benefits including 401(k) matching from day one and relocation assistance if you are eligible. The eligibility is narrow and specific: you must be enrolled in an accounting bachelor's or dual degree programme, preferably on a tax track, graduating between December 2027 and June 2028. One line ends most applications: Amazon states it is unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
ACI Foundation Scholarship 2026 - $5,000 to $10,000
The ACI Foundation funds students heading into the concrete industry, and it runs more than thirty named awards through one shared student application portal with one set of core requirements. Scholarship recipients get a $5,000 educational stipend for tuition, residence, books and materials. Fellowship recipients get $10,000 plus paid travel to two ACI Conventions. Two Middle East awards sit alongside them at $7,000 and $5,000 with regional travel and certification included. The window is open now: applications opened on 1 July 2026 and close on 1 November 2026, with no late applications accepted. What you submit is compact but strict, a resume, a 500-word essay on your long-term career interest in concrete, official transcripts sent by the institution rather than by you, and two endorsements of which at least one must come from an ACI member. Fellowship finalists are interviewed in person at the spring ACI Concrete Convention, with travel paid.
Michigan AI Explorers Program 2027 - PhD Prep Mentorship
The Michigan Artificial Intelligence Lab runs the AI Explorers Program to get talented pre-doctoral students into top PhD programmes, and it is built around output rather than lectures. Over six to nine months you work on mentored research with a weekly meeting, present progress at monthly cohort sessions, and attend monthly or bimonthly ACL mentorship sessions on research skills, career pathways and graduate admissions. You leave with two concrete things: one research paper ready to submit to a workshop, conference or journal, and a full graduate school application package covering statement of purpose, CV and research statement. Mentors are junior faculty, postdocs, senior PhD students and industry researchers, each taking one or two students. Applicants must be 18 or older by the start date, with preference for final-year Bachelor's and MS students. The 2026 round is closed and applications reopen in late 2026.
CHCI Congressional Internship Summer 2027 - Paid in DC
The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute puts undergraduates and recent graduates into congressional offices on Capitol Hill for a summer, and pays properly for it. Summer 2027 interns get $4,776, furnished housing with rent and utilities covered, domestic round-trip flights to Washington, medical insurance with all premiums paid by CHCI, and a $100 a month Metro stipend. You work at least 32 hours a week in your congressional office assignment, attend an eight-day orientation and weekly leadership sessions, and complete community service hours. Applications launch on 15 August 2026 and close on 1 December 2026 for a programme running 19 May to 30 July 2027. Selection has two stages, a written application and a prerecorded interview, judged by CHCI alumni, board members and staff. Work authorisation is the hard gate: students on F-1 or M-1 visas cannot apply.
Balanced Man Scholarship 2026 - Up to $10,000 by Chapter
Sigma Phi Epsilon runs the Balanced Man Scholarship at more than 140 US universities, awarding over 500 scholarships worth around $300,000 in a year. The award goes to students living what SigEp calls a balanced life, a Sound Mind and a Sound Body, judged on academic excellence, leadership and a real commitment to health and well-being. The single most misunderstood thing about it is stated plainly on SigEp's own pages: there is no obligation to join or affiliate with the fraternity to apply or to win. Amounts and rules are set chapter by chapter, so Florida offers $10,000 to incoming freshmen with a 3.2 GPA, Cincinnati $6,000, Wisconsin-Madison $5,000. Deadlines are local too, with 1 June the early date at most schools and some chapters still open into the summer. The application is short by design: roughly 15 minutes, and at some chapters no essays at all.
Georgetown PhD Scholarship 2026 - Full Funding & Stipend
Georgetown does not run a single named PhD scholarship. What it runs is a funding package, awarded by your department on the recommendation of the programme, and at the doctoral level it is designed to cover the lot. In Biomedical Graduate Education, where the university publishes exact numbers, an incoming PhD student on a merit fellowship gets tuition covered, a 2026-27 stipend of $40,922 over nine months or $44,605 over twelve, plus student health insurance and dental. Pre-thesis tuition alone lists at $31,416 a semester, so the tuition line matters as much as the cash. There is no separate scholarship form: you apply to the doctoral programme and the funding decision comes with the admission decision. Most Georgetown PhD deadlines land on 1 December at 11:59 PM EST, including Global Infectious Disease, Biology, History, Linguistics, Psychology and Nursing, with a second cluster on 15 December and a third on 15 January.
Cullman Center Fellowship 2027 - $90,000 at the NYPL
The Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers gives fifteen people a year an office inside the New York Public Library, a $90,000 stipend, and nine months to write. Fellows work at the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building on Fifth Avenue from September through May, five days a week, and the project has to genuinely need those collections rather than merely benefit from the address. Academics, independent scholars, novelists, playwrights, poets and visual artists working on a book project are all welcome, and the programme is international, though your application must be in English. Two exclusions end a lot of applications early: no academic projects from post-doctoral fellows, and no graduate-school dissertation research. Applications for 2027-2028 close on 25 September 2026 at 5pm EDT, with decisions in March 2027 and the term running 7 September 2027 to 26 May 2028.
Stamps Scholars Program 2026 - Up to $98,000 a Year
The Stamps Scholars Program does something unusual: it splits the bill with the university. E. Roe Stamps and his late wife Penny founded it in 2006, and today the foundation and its partner schools evenly share the cost of multi-year awards worth $20,000 to $98,000 a year, which over four years comes to between $80,000 and $392,000. On top of that every scholar gets a separate enrichment fund for study abroad, academic conferences and leadership training. You cannot apply to Stamps directly, and the website says so plainly. You apply to a partner university, and at most of them the normal freshman application by the early or scholarship deadline puts you in the running automatically. Deadlines are set school by school: 1 November at Boston College and Notre Dame Early Action, 3 November for non-residents at Georgia Tech, 5 December at Tulane, 1 January at Northeastern. Financial need is not a consideration anywhere.
IEEE-USA Government Fellowship 2027 - $100,000 in DC
IEEE-USA has been sending engineers to Washington since 1973, and more than 150 of its US members have now spent a year advising Congress or the State Department. Fellows get a stipend of $95,000 plus a $5,000 relocation allowance, paid in two lump sums, and run from 1 September to 31 August. Three tracks are open: the Congressional Fellowship, the Congressional Electric Grid Policy Fellowship, and the Engineering and Diplomacy Fellowship at the US Department of State. Eligibility is narrow and specific. You need a PhD, or a master's plus five years of full-time professional experience, you must be a US citizen, and you must be an IEEE member in good standing. You also have to live in Washington for the year, because the work cannot be done remotely. Application materials for the 2027-2028 year have not been posted yet, and the previous cycle closed in early January.
ICASE Presidential Scholarship 2026 - Indiana Special Ed
The Indiana Council of Administrators of Special Education gives two $1,000 scholarships a year to people training to become special education administrators in Indiana. The pool is genuinely small, which is the point: you have to be accepted or already enrolled in a Director of Exceptional Needs licensing program in the state, and a current special education director has to nominate you. Nobody applies cold. The application window for this cycle opens on 1 October 2026 and closes on 30 December 2026, and what you submit is compact by scholarship standards: the application form, two letters of recommendation, and one essay answering a single question about what you intend to contribute as an administrator in special education. Applications are scored against a published rubric. If you are already teaching in an Indiana school and working towards a director's licence, this is one of the few awards written specifically for you.
University of Idaho Scholarship 2027 - Go Idaho! & WUE
University of Idaho does something most universities do not: it tells you what you will get before you apply. Idaho residents entering from high school are guaranteed a Go Idaho! award set purely by unweighted GPA, from $1,000 a year at 3.0 up to $7,500 a year at 3.9, held for four years on a 2.5 U of I GPA. Students from the fourteen WUE states plus Guam and the Northern Marianas get the Western Undergraduate Exchange discount worth nearly $16,000 a year, rising to almost $19,000 with a 3.9 GPA. Everyone else, including international students, is looked at for Invitation to Idaho, also worth close to $16,000 a year. None of it needs a scholarship application. You apply for admission and the awards are considered automatically, on a rolling basis, with the Fall 2027 application already open and award letters going out from late December 2026.
Horatio Alger Scholarship 2027 - $25,000 for Juniors
The Horatio Alger Association hands out 105 National Scholarships of $25,000 each, and unlike almost every other award at this size it is not looking for the strongest transcript in the room. The GPA floor is 2.0, there is no SAT or ACT requirement, and adjusted gross family income has to be $100,000 or lower. What the selection committee actually weighs is adversity: what you have been through, and what you did about it. The National Scholarship is now a high school junior award, applied for between 1 December 2026 and 1 March 2027, while seniors have their own window closing 15 February 2027 across the Association's other 70-plus programmes. One application puts you in front of every scholarship you qualify for. Two hard gates end most applications early: you must be a US citizen, with permanent residents and DREAM Act recipients excluded outright, and you need both a counselor certification and a support form from an unrelated adult over 21.
GEM Fellowship Program 2026 - Funded MS & PhD in STEM
The National GEM Consortium pairs engineering and science graduate students with the companies and universities that will pay for their degree. An Employer Fellow gets full tuition and fees from a GEM member university, a stipend of at least $16,000, and paid summer internships with the sponsoring company: up to two for a master's, at least one for a PhD, with PhD tuition covered up to the fifth year. Applications for the 2026 cycle opened on 1 July and close at 11:59 PM Eastern on 13 November 2026, the second Friday in November. Two things trip people up. You must be a US citizen or permanent resident at the time of application, and you must apply directly to at least three GEM member universities on top of the GEM application itself, by their own deadlines or 15 January, whichever comes first. Minimum GPA is 2.8 for the MS track and 3.0 for the PhD track. The GRE is strongly encouraged and not required.
ERP Scholarship 2027 - $2,500/Month for US Study
The ERP Scholarship Program sends ten to twenty German graduates a year to top US universities for a master's degree, the coursework phase of a PhD, or a research stay tied to a German dissertation. Money on the table: $2,500 a month, a $500 start-up grant, a $1,000 travel grant, and up to $25,000 per academic year towards tuition. It runs on the yield from Germany's share of the Marshall Plan, the European Recovery Program the name is short for, and has done since 1994. You do not need a US admission offer to apply, and you do not need to have held a Studienstiftung scholarship before. What you do need is a bachelor's degree awarded no more than five years ago, excellent grades, and a serious answer to why you want to work in public service. Applications for the 2027/28 academic year run from 1 July to 20 September 2026, by email only.
Yale University Scholarship 2027 - Need-Based Aid
The Yale Scholarship is the grant that sits at the centre of every Yale College financial aid offer, and the average one runs $75,220 a year. You never apply for it separately and you never pay it back. Yale reads first-year applications need-blind for every applicant anywhere in the world, then meets 100% of demonstrated need with grants rather than loans, regardless of citizenship or immigration status. Families earning under $100,000 with typical assets are usually asked to pay nothing at all, and that offer covers tuition, fees, housing, food and travel, plus hospitalization insurance and a $2,000 start-up grant in the first year. Under $200,000 and tuition alone is normally covered. The gate is admission: Single-Choice Early Action and QuestBridge close 1 November 2026, Regular Decision 2 January 2027, with financial aid documents following on their own priority dates.
East-West Center Graduate Student Conference 2027 - Hawaii
The 26th East-West Center International Graduate Student Conference runs 11 to 13 February 2027 at the Hawai'i Imin International Conference Center in Honolulu, under the theme Weaving Knowledge for Shared Indo-Pacific Prosperity. Abstracts close on 30 September 2026 at 11:59 PM Hawaii time, submitted through Submittable as a 350-word abstract plus a 100-word plain-language summary. Junior and senior undergraduates, graduate students, and anyone who finished a graduate degree in the past year can submit. The conference has been student-run since 2002 and takes academic papers, creative works, performance and film, with the choice of presenting in Honolulu or live online. Nobody funds your seat. Registration was $85 in person for IGSC 2026 if you paid before 15 December, and travel, visa and lodging are yours to arrange, though EWC residence hall rooms are held for participants from $113 a night.
UNFPA Global Internship Roster 2026 - Paid UN Internships
The UNFPA Global Internship Roster 2026 is a single application that puts you in front of every hiring team at the United Nations Population Fund for a year, from the New York headquarters to regional and country offices around the world. You apply once to the roster rather than chasing individual postings, and teams pull interns from it as their needs come up. Interns who are not funded by a university, government or scholarship programme get a monthly stipend paid in local currency, sized to the duty station. What the stipend does not cover matters just as much: you arrange and pay for your own medical insurance, travel and accommodation, and you have to show proof of insurance before your first day. Eligibility is broad by UN standards. Final-year undergraduates, master's and PhD students, postgraduate professional trainees, and anyone who graduated within the past year can all apply. The roster closes 31 December 2026.
Cornell Atkinson Postdoctoral Fellowship 2027 - $65,000/yr
The Cornell Atkinson Center for Sustainability funds up to four postdoctoral fellows a year on three-year appointments paying $65,000 annually, with full Cornell employee benefits and a further $12,000 a year for research and travel. Applications for the 2027 cohort close on 20 October 2026 at 5pm Eastern, notifications go out in January 2027, and fellowships start between 1 June and 1 September 2027. The structure is what makes this one unusual. Every application needs two mentors lined up before you apply: a PI-eligible Cornell faculty member who is a current Cornell Atkinson Faculty Fellow, and an advisor at an external governmental, non-governmental or private sector partner, which explicitly cannot be another university. Your doctorate must be recent, no earlier than 1 May 2025 for this cycle, and the programme is no longer open to Cornell PhD graduates or Cornell postdocs.
51 Pegasi b Fellowship 2026 - $492,000 Postdoc
The 51 Pegasi b Fellowship gives an early-career planetary astronomer up to $492,000 over three years to do theoretical, observational or experimental research at a US host institution of their choosing. The Heising-Simons Foundation runs it, applications for the current cycle close on 1 October 2026 at 2pm Pacific Time, and decisions go out by mid-February. Named after the first exoplanet found orbiting a sun-like star, the fellowship covers salary and benefits and adds flexible discretionary research funding on top, which is the part fellows tend to talk about. You pick one host institution from the 28 taking part across the US. American citizenship is not required, though visa and work permit paperwork falls to you and your host rather than to the Foundation. Fellows can apply for a fourth year, or for a one-year grant if they land a faculty or permanent staff post.
Mastercard Internship 2027 - Paid US Summer Roles
Mastercard runs paid internships across eleven categories, from software engineering and cybersecurity to consulting, finance, product management and marketing, in more than 40 countries and with placements running anywhere from a few weeks to a full year. The US summer programme is the one most students want. Eligibility is stated plainly: you must be currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree and set to complete your studies the year after you intern. Postings for a given summer start appearing the previous autumn, and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis rather than against a closing date, so the practical deadline is whenever the seats fill. One rule ends a lot of applications early: many Mastercard intern postings state they are not eligible for work authorization sponsorship, so you must already be able to work in the US without it.
UoPeople Scholarships 2027 - Tuition-Free US Degrees
University of the People is an accredited American online university that charges no tuition and no money for textbooks or course materials. What it does charge is a one-time $60 application fee and an assessment fee at the end of every course: $180 for undergraduate courses, $430 for M.Ed. courses and $490 for MBA and MS-IT courses. A full bachelor's degree comes to $7,260 and an MBA to $5,940. UoPeople scholarships exist to cover those fees, funded by partners including SAP, Intel, the Algorand Foundation and the Simone Biles Legacy Scholarship Fund, alongside country and refugee funds. There is no scholarship deadline. You apply for admission first, and once accepted you request a scholarship from the funding page in the Student Portal, where money is granted first-come, first-served and applied to your assessment fees until it runs out.
SHE-CAN Scholarship 2026 - Full Ride to US Colleges
SHE-CAN, short for Supporting Her Education Changes a Nation, coaches young women from Cambodia, Guatemala and Liberia into full-ride scholarships at top US colleges, then supports them through the degree and back home again. The 2026-27 cycle opened in July 2026. Cambodia and Guatemala close on 1 October 2026 and Liberia on 1 November 2026, with no application fee at any stage. Applicants must be female, aged 17 to 20, from a low-income household, with under a year of post-secondary education and strong national exam or WAEC results. What follows is long: interviews in the capital, test preparation and a community project from January to June 2027, college applications through late 2027, decisions in December 2027 and arrival in the US in August 2028. Every scholar pledges to return home within a year of graduating and work there for at least three years.
Fulbright Scholar Award 2027 - UK Scholars to the USA
The Fulbright Scholar Awards send UK academics and professionals to the United States to lecture, research or both, usually for three to six months, on a monthly stipend with travel and visa support attached. Applications for the 2027-28 cycle opened on 20 July 2026 and close on 2 November 2026 at 5pm GMT, with interviews in February 2027, results in March 2027 and departures from August 2027 onwards. Six awards run under the Scholar banner, from the open All Disciplines Award to partner awards with the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the Royal Society of Edinburgh, Elon University, Rutgers University-Newark and the National Archives. You need to be a UK citizen or British Overseas Territory resident, hold a PhD or equivalent professional standing, and arrange your own letter of invitation from a US host institution before you apply.
Human Rights Advocates Program 2027 - HRAP at Columbia
The Human Rights Advocates Program (HRAP) at Columbia University's Institute for the Study of Human Rights brings grassroots human rights advocates to New York for a six-month capacity-building programme built from academic coursework, skills workshops, mentoring, networking and an advocacy trip to Washington, D.C. Applications for the Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 programmes close on 15 October 2026. Read the funding line carefully before you apply, because the aggregator sites get it wrong: only a very limited number of full scholarships are awarded, and other admitted applicants are asked to cover expenses including living costs and stipend. ISHR does make every effort to secure funding for shortlisted Advocates. HRAP is for people doing the work, not for students: full-time students, academics and government officials are not considered, and applicants from high-income countries are ruled out unless they represent marginalized communities.
Harvard Academy Scholars Program 2027 - $80,000/yr
The Harvard Academy Scholars Program appoints five or six early-career social scientists a year to a two-year, in-residence postdoctoral fellowship at The Harvard Academy for International and Area Studies, on $80,000 a year plus $6,000 a year in research support. The 2027-2028 season is open and closes 18 September 2026 at 11:59 PM EDT, with finalists interviewed on 4 December 2026 and the appointment starting 1 August 2027. Over 500 people apply each year. The Academy wants scholars whose work pairs disciplinary strength in the social sciences with a command of the language and expertise of countries or regions outside the United States and Canada. Applications are open to all countries and citizenships, but anyone who already holds or has completed another postdoctoral fellowship is out.
Yale World Fellows Program 2027 - Fully Funded
The Yale World Fellows Program brings a small group of mid-career leaders from outside the United States to Yale for four months, mid-August to mid-December, on a package that covers a living stipend, a furnished one- or two-bedroom apartment, medical insurance and round-trip international travel, with no tuition or fees. The Class of 2026 held 16 Fellows, picked from several thousand applications, and the programme has taken over 400 Fellows from 102 countries since 2002. You need to be a citizen of a country other than the United States, between five and twenty-five years into your career, fluent in English, and free to live in New Haven for the whole term. Applications for the 2027 cohort are not open yet. Nominations are, and anyone can submit one without any Yale connection.
Reginald F. Lewis Fellowship 2027 - $60,000 at HLS
The Reginald F. Lewis Fellowship for Law Teaching gives a recent law graduate a $60,000 annual stipend and a year in residence at Harvard Law School to write. The 2027 term runs 1 July 2027 through 30 June 2028, and applications close on Thursday 1 October 2026, with both letters of reference due the same day. You need a JD, LLM or SJD at the time of applying, a serious interest in legal scholarship, and a plan to go into law teaching. The Fellow prepares at least one major article for publication on a schedule agreed with the Lewis Committee, and can audit courses and attend workshops across the school. The programme was endowed in 1993 by Reginald F. Lewis, HLS class of 1968 and the first African American to build a billion-dollar company, and it exists to enhance diversity in the profession of legal educators.
Fulbright US Student Program 2027 - 160+ Countries
The Fulbright US Student Program sends more than 2,000 Americans abroad every year to study, research or teach English, across more than 140 countries and with opportunities in over 160 countries and territories. Funded by the US Government, administered by IIE under the Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, it covers round-trip travel, a living stipend set against the host country's cost of living, and accident and sickness health benefits. The 2027-2028 competition is open and the national deadline is 6 October 2026 at 5pm Eastern. If you are enrolled at a US college you cannot use that date: you apply through your campus Fulbright Program Adviser on an institutional deadline that typically falls four to six weeks earlier, with a campus interview and a chance to revise before submission.
CHAI Research Fellowship 2026 - AI Safety at Berkeley
The CHAI Research Fellowship is a salaried postdoctoral post at the Center for Human-Compatible AI, headquartered at UC Berkeley and directed by Stuart Russell. Funding runs two years and is renewable up to three on satisfactory performance. Fellows get considerable freedom to pursue novel research on AI safety and value alignment, and may lead collaborations with other CHAI researchers and Berkeley PhD students, advise junior researchers, and teach courses in their area. You need a PhD, or to be about to obtain one, in computer science, statistics, mathematics or theoretical economics, plus a record of high-quality published research. Pay follows UC Berkeley salary scales rather than a published figure, visa sponsorship is available with a cost contribution, and there is no application deadline: applications are rolling and the start date is flexible.
Gates Scholarship 2027 - Full Ride for 300 Students
The Gates Scholarship picks 300 high school seniors a year and covers the full cost of attendance that other financial aid does not reach: tuition, fees, books, housing, food and personal expenses. It is a last-dollar award, so it fills the gap left after your other aid and your Student Aid Index rather than paying the whole bill from the start. Applications for the 2027 cohort opened on 15 July 2026 and close on 15 September 2026, with semifinalist review and finalist interviews running December to January, selection in March 2027 and awards distributed from April. One thing has changed that most articles still get wrong. The Gates Scholarship dropped its ethnicity requirement in 2025 and is now open to every Pell-eligible applicant who meets the other criteria: high school senior, US citizen, national or permanent resident, and a minimum cumulative weighted GPA of 3.3.
UN Nippon Foundation Fellowship 2027 - Ocean Law
The United Nations-Nippon Foundation Fellowship on Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea gives mid-career government officials from developing states nine funded months split between two places. Phase one runs 24 March to 30 June 2027 at UN Headquarters in New York, working alongside the Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea. Phase two runs 1 July to 17 December 2027 as a research placement at an academic institution. The award covers a monthly stipend from the day you leave home until the day you finish, round-trip economy flights between home, New York and your host institution, Cigna health insurance, and a $600 book allowance for the second phase. Applications close on 13 September 2026 and results are announced in mid-December. You need to be between 25 and 45, hold at least a first degree, and be nominated by an authority who signs your form.
Jefferson Scholarship 2027 - Full Ride to UVA
The Jefferson Scholarship covers the full cost of four years at the University of Virginia, worth more than $42,000 a year for Virginia residents and more than $83,000 a year for everyone else, which comes to roughly $230,000 and $405,000 across a degree. The Jefferson Scholars Foundation runs it, and there is one hard rule that catches most people out: you cannot apply. Schools nominate, one senior per school per year for the Jefferson award, and 7,697 secondary schools were invited to nominate in the 2025-26 cycle. Counselor and nominee materials are due 1 December 2026 for most of the 65-plus regions, and 15 November 2026 for the At-Large and International At-Large regions. Regional interviews run from mid-December through January, final interviews are held virtually in late February 2027, and financial need plays no part in who wins.
Horowitz Foundation Grant 2026 - $10,000 for PhDs
The Horowitz Foundation for Social Policy gives $10,000 to PhD candidates at the dissertation stage whose research speaks to contemporary social policy. The money arrives in two parts: $7,500 when you are selected, and $2,500 once the project is finished. Applications close on 1 December 2026 at 11:59pm EST, which is also the deadline for your recommender to file, and winners are announced the following June. Eligibility is tight in one direction and unusually open in another. You must be a current PhD or DrPH candidate who has defended a proposal or had a topic approved, and anyone who already holds a PhD is out. But there is no citizenship rule and no institutional one: applicants can come from any country and any university in the world. The application itself is short, built around a 750-word project description.
FSU Admissions Scholarships 2026 - Up to $115,808
Florida State University runs about ten first-year admissions scholarships, and most of them arrive without you filling in anything beyond the admissions application. The largest is the Presidential Scholars award at roughly $115,808 over four years including an out-of-state tuition waiver. National Merit Finalists get the full in-state cost of attendance if they are Florida residents, worth $16,000 to $25,000 a year, or a package around $91,808 over four years if they are not. Below those sit merit and talent out-of-state tuition waivers at 100% and 50%, a $16,000 Vires award for Florida residents, $8,000 for an IB diploma, a $4,000 Sunshine Award, and $6,000 plus experiential funding on the invitation-only QUEST and Illuminate programmes. Apply by 1 December for the best shot. National Merit Finalists have a separate job: list FSU as first choice by 1 May.
Public Service Scholarships 2026 - 100% Tuition at SAIS
Johns Hopkins SAIS runs two Public Service awards on its Washington DC campus, and they are aimed at very different people. Public Service Fellows are students entering the Master of Arts in International Relations who want a career in public service; they receive a 100% tuition scholarship in year one, renewable for a second year on full-time enrolment and a 3.4 GPA. Public Service Scholars are mid-career professionals entering the Master of International Public Policy who have already worked in public service and intend to go back to it; they receive 50% of tuition. Citizens of any country can apply, both tracks are Fall entry only, and preference goes to candidates who can demonstrate financial need. There is no separate scholarship form. You tick two boxes on the degree application, one for institutional aid and one for the Public Service Award, by the 1 November early round or the January regular round.
Columbia University Free Online Courses 2026 - ColumbiaX
Columbia University free online courses are published under ColumbiaX, the university's online learning initiative on edX, where every listed course can be audited at no cost and a verified certificate is available for a fee. The school page currently lists 28 courses drawn from Columbia Business School, Columbia Engineering, the Mailman School of Public Health, the history department and Teachers College, covering corporate finance, the maths behind AI, Python and data structures, pediatric HIV, child protection, climate science, US history and inclusive teaching. Nothing here behaves like a scholarship: no application form, no deadline, no committee, no GPA and no citizenship rule. Money only enters at the certificate, and edX financial assistance is the route to a discount on that fee.
Five Rings Quantitative Researcher Internship 2027
The Five Rings Summer Intern 2027 Quantitative Researcher role is a nine-week paid PhD internship in New York, running from the beginning of June to the beginning of August 2027. Five Rings lists the annual base salary at $300,000, roughly $52,000 across the nine weeks, plus a sign-on bonus and corporate housing. Interns work with the research team on development projects with a mentor fully dedicated to them, alongside classroom instruction, in-house strategy games and a series of talks on key trading concepts. The hard gate is the degree: you must be working towards a PhD in computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics, economics or another qualifying field, with basic programming experience from academia or an internship. Note that unlike the sibling quantitative trader posting, this one carries no statement welcoming applicants from outside the US.
Rising Explorer Grant 2027 - $2,000 Field Research
The Rising Explorer Grant is The Explorers Club programme that funds field research by high school students and college undergraduates, with awards averaging $2,000. The 2027 cycle is open now and closes on 31 August 2026 at 6:00 PM ET. Anyone can apply from anywhere: the Club states the programme is open to high school students and college undergraduates worldwide, plus independent researchers working at an equivalent level. Funded work spans the field sciences, including biology and ecology, wildlife conservation, environmental science, archaeology and anthropology, and marine and freshwater studies. One rule decides most applications: the project has to be true science designed to generate new knowledge, not an adventure, a travel experience or a school field trip. Grantees are also considered automatically for Explorers Club membership.
Five Rings Quantitative Internship 2027 - 9 Paid Weeks
The Five Rings Summer Intern 2027 Quantitative Trader programme is a nine-week paid internship in New York, running from the beginning of June to the beginning of August 2027. Five Rings lists the annual base salary at $300,000, which works out at roughly $52,000 across the nine weeks, and adds a sign-on bonus and corporate housing on top. Interns work with the trading team on research and development projects, mentored by full-time traders, alongside classroom instruction, in-house strategy games, mock trading and a series of talks on core trading concepts. The eligibility bar is narrow on timing and wide on geography: you need to graduate in winter 2027 or spring or summer 2028, and Five Rings states directly that students outside the US are eligible to apply even though the internship runs in New York.
Amazon Operations Finance Internship 2027 - Paid 12 Weeks
The 2027 Amazon Operations Finance Rotational Program Summer Internship is a paid 12-week placement based in Seattle, Washington or Arlington, Virginia, starting in May or June 2027. Interns join a finance team supporting one part of the supply chain, such as Customer Fulfillment, Amazon Logistics or Amazon Air, and own a single project that gets attention from senior leadership. Amazon lists the Seattle pay as $80,200 to $99,300 a year, which is roughly $18,500 to $22,900 across a 12-week internship. You need to be enrolled in a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, industrial engineering, accounting, supply chain, operations, business, mathematics or a related field, graduating between December 2027 and June 2028. Two details catch people out: despite the name the internship itself is not rotational, and Amazon states it cannot offer visa sponsorship for this role.
UC Berkeley Free Online Courses 2027 - BerkeleyX on edX
UC Berkeley free online courses run through BerkeleyX on the edX platform, where every course can be audited at no cost and a verified certificate is available for a fee. Berkeley joined the edX consortium in 2012 and has since put more than 100 classes in front of 4 million learners across 150 countries and regions, from The Science of Happiness and Introduction to Python to Fundamentals of Economics, Academic and Business Writing and Psychedelics and the Mind. Nothing here works like a scholarship: there is no application, no deadline, no selection and no GPA, and enrolment is open all year. The closest thing to funding is edX financial assistance, which discounts the verified certificate fee for learners who would find it a hardship, applied for one course at a time. Auditing needs nothing but a free account.
Nathan Cummings Foundation Grant 2026 - $50k to $250k
The Nathan Cummings Foundation grant programme funds organisations working on racial, economic and environmental justice in the United States, with most grants between $50,000 and $250,000. The Letter of Inquiry portal is open year-round with rolling review, and staff aim to come back to applicants within 12 weeks. Three grant types run alongside each other: Venture Grants up to $100,000 for one year, Advancement Grants up to $250,000 a year for up to two years, and invitation-only Enterprise Grants above $250,000 a year for longer. Program Related Investments run separately at $250,000 to $750,000, usually repaid over three to seven years. Read the exclusion list before anything else, because NCF does not fund individuals, 501(c)(4) organisations, direct service work outside an advocacy strategy, campus or prison-based programmes, or conservation projects.
Coca-Cola Scholars Program 2027 - $20,000 Award
The Coca-Cola Scholars Program is a $20,000 achievement-based scholarship for US high school seniors, and the open cycle is the 2027 application for students graduating during the 2026-2027 academic year. It closes at 5pm Eastern on Wednesday 30 September 2026. One hundred and fifty Coke Scholars are chosen each year, and the first phase asks for no essays, no transcript and no recommendations, which makes it one of the lowest-effort major scholarship applications in the country to start. Selection then narrows hard: about 1 per cent of applicants become Semifinalists in October, roughly 1,200 people, of whom 250 become Regional Finalists interviewed in late January or early February, and 150 are invited to Coke Scholars Weekend in Atlanta in April. You need a minimum B or 3.0 GPA and you must attend school in one of the 50 states, DC, Puerto Rico or a select Department of Defense school.
America's Future Development Fellowship 2026
The America's Future Development Fellowship 2026 is a six-week virtual seminar on nonprofit fundraising for the Fall 2026 cohort, run over Zoom on Monday evenings from 28 September to 9 November 2026. Applications close 7 September 2026 at 11:59 PM ET, with participants selected between 14 and 21 September. The curriculum covers the philosophy of private philanthropy alongside practical work on donor cultivation and stewardship, organisational development, major gifts, foundation relations and planned giving, led by a facilitator who runs a fundraising operation raising around $12 million a year. Two eligibility points decide most applications: you must reside in the United States, and America's Future selects for liberty-minded professionals committed to strengthening organisations in the liberty movement. No prior fundraising experience is needed, and attendance at all six sessions is mandatory.
AERC World Bank Visiting Scholars 2026 - Washington DC
The AERC World Bank Visiting Scholars Program 2026 places African economists at World Bank headquarters in Washington DC for a research residency of four to six months. Run jointly by the African Economic Research Consortium and the World Bank Africa Region Chief Economist's Office, it takes up to two scholars for the 2026/2027 cohort. Visiting scholars join the Office of the Chief Economist for Africa Region, revise a draft paper for the World Bank Working Paper Series and a ranking journal, present at least one seminar, and contribute to the Bank's Africa research programme. Eligibility is narrow: you must already be an AERC researcher, including from the AERC Collaborative PhD Programme, with an active AERC project at interim, post-field or final paper stage on a topic relevant to the World Bank Africa Region agenda. Expressions of interest close 6 September 2026 and late applications are not considered.
Yale Peace Fellowship 2027 - Fully Funded at Yale
The Yale Peace Fellowship 2027 is a fully funded programme from the International Leadership Center at Yale University for rising leaders in conflict prevention, peacebuilding and post-conflict reconciliation. Applications for the 2027 cohort are open now and close 9 September 2026 at 14:00 EDT. Fellows take a week-long seminar at Yale in New Haven from 12 to 16 April 2027, bi-weekly virtual sessions from March through June, and a closing convening at Rose Castle in the UK from 14 to 18 June 2027. Travel, lodging and meals for both in-person weeks are covered and there are no direct programme costs, though a $20 application fee applies. One catch decides most applications: applicants should be citizens of a country other than the United States, and Yale typically looks for at least five years of significant professional experience.
Tech Journalism Fund 2026 - $5,000 to $25,000 Grants
The Tech Journalism Fund 2026 is Omidyar Network's project grant for US-based journalists reporting on technology and society, paying $5,000 to $25,000 towards the cost of a single resource-intensive story. Freelancers, staff reporters, editors and whole teams are eligible across any medium. The money covers reporting costs rather than salary: travel, research and fact-checking support, multimedia work, data access such as LexisNexis searches and government record requests, and a stipend for the reporting time itself. Priority goes to pitches on AI regulation and tech policy, investigations into the companies and people shaping the AI industry, the effect of AI on children and families, and how workers and unions are dealing with AI at work. Applications run on a rolling basis with no deadline and are usually reviewed within 30 days. Every funded project stays editorially independent and discloses the support.
Mental Health America Young Leaders Council 2027
The Mental Health America Young Leaders Council 2027 is a paid nine-month youth advocacy cohort running September 2026 to May 2027, and MHA is selecting just five young adults aged 18 to 25 for it. Members receive a $2,000 stipend, attend monthly 90-minute virtual sessions with experts, co-create a capstone project, and speak at the Mental Health America Conference in Washington DC on 8 and 9 October 2026 with travel and lodging paid. The 2026-2027 council focuses on financial well-being and access to meaningful work, set against the fact that almost 12 per cent of US youth are not in education, employment or training and 41 per cent of recent college graduates are underemployed. No degree, GPA or enrolment is required, only direct experience with programmes at that intersection. Applications close Friday 28 August 2026 with decisions by Friday 4 September.
Northwestern University Scholarship 2027 - 100% Need Met
The Northwestern University Scholarship 2027 is the need-based grant Northwestern awards undergraduates entering in Fall 2027, and it is gift aid you never repay. Northwestern says plainly that it does not award scholarships based on academic merit, so every dollar turns on demonstrated need. The university meets 100 per cent of that need and packages no loans at all. Most families earning under $150,000 attend tuition-free, and most earning under $70,000 attend at no cost. Around half of all undergraduates hold a Northwestern University Scholarship, and more than $250 million went into undergraduate aid last year against a 2026-27 on-campus budget of $99,375. Apply for admission by 1 November 2026 for Early Decision or 4 January 2027 for Regular Decision, with aid forms due 1 December 2026 and 1 February 2027.
GWI Scholars Program 2027 - Free Training, Paid Internship
The GWI Scholars Program 2027 from Girls Who Invest is open now, and it costs nothing to apply or to take part. Every admitted Scholar gets tuition-free training in Excel, accounting, financial statement analysis and financial modelling, running from December 2026 to late March 2027 as a unified curriculum. Sophomores can opt into the Internship Track, and the portion matched with a partner firm spend four weeks in residence at the Wharton School from late May 2027 before a seven-week paid frontline investing internship that runs to mid-August. GWI partner firms have hosted between 175 and 200 interns each summer in recent years. Despite the name, the programme is open to all gender identities including male-identifying students, to every major, and with no minimum GPA. Priority applications close 15 September 2026 and the final deadline is 15 October 2026.
Oregon State University Scholarships 2027 - Up to $16,000
Oregon State University Scholarships 2027 are the merit awards OSU hands to new undergraduates entering the Corvallis or Bend campuses in Fall 2027, and almost all of them are decided off your admission application with no separate form. Non-resident first-years can be offered the Provost Scholarship at up to $16,000 a year, renewable across four years. Oregon residents compete for the Presidential Scholarship at up to $10,000 a year and the Finley Academic Excellence Scholarship at up to $5,000. International first-years get guaranteed regional awards worth $2,000 to $16,000 a year depending on their country of residence, reaching $64,000 across a four-year degree. OSU awards more than $20 million in merit scholarships to new undergraduates every year. The priority deadline for Fall 2027 is 1 February 2027, with Early Action closing 2 November 2026.
HP Social Media Marketing Free Online Course 2026
The HP Social Media Marketing free online course 2026 is a short, self-paced training module from HP LIFE, the free learning platform run by the HP Foundation, and it ends with a certificate of completion that costs nothing. The course covers a range of social media marketing platforms and walks you through building a social media advertisement that actually reaches your target customers. Most learners finish in under an hour. There is no fee, no application, no deadline and no entry requirement: you create a free HP LIFE account, pick one of eight languages, work through the lessons, and download the certificate the moment you finish. More than 179,000 people have taken this one course, and it also works offline through the HP LIFE mobile app.
Brown University Scholarships 2027 - Need-Based Aid
Brown University Scholarships 2027 are the need-based awards Brown gives undergraduates entering in Fall 2027, and every dollar is gift aid that you never repay. Brown meets 100 per cent of demonstrated financial need for every admitted undergraduate and packages no loans at all under the Brown Promise. Families earning under $60,000 a year with assets under $100,000 pay nothing towards tuition, fees, housing or meals. Families earning up to $125,000 with typical assets have full tuition covered, worth $74,568 at the 2026-27 rate against a total cost of attendance of $99,984. Brown offers no merit, academic or athletic scholarships, so the whole award turns on the CSS Profile and the FAFSA. Apply for admission by 1 November 2026 for Early Decision or 5 January 2027 for Regular Decision, with aid forms due 2 November 2026 and 1 February 2027.
USC Merit Scholarships 2026 - Full-Tuition Trojan Awards
USC Merit Scholarships 2026 are the merit-based undergraduate awards handed out by the University of Southern California Office of Admission, ranging from a few thousand dollars a year up to the full-tuition Trustee Scholarship worth about $75,384 per year at the 2026-27 rate. The tiers are Trustee (full tuition), Presidential (half tuition, about $37,692), Deans (quarter tuition, about $18,846), plus Associates, Directors and Leadership awards, a $20,000 per year National Merit Finalist award, and the Mork Family and Stamps Leadership scholarships that add a $5,000 living stipend on top of full tuition. There is no separate scholarship application. Every first-year applicant who files a complete application by the 1 November 2026 Early Action or Early Decision deadline is considered automatically, with performing and visual arts applicants covered by the 1 December 2026 deadline instead.
