IABA Scholarships 2027 - Up to $5,000 for Actuaries
The International Association of Black Actuaries (IABA) Scholarship Program supports Black undergraduate and graduate students pursuing actuarial careers with merit awards typically from $1,500 to $5,000 per year. Recipients also receive a travel stipend and hotel accommodations to attend the IABA Annual Meeting. Applicants must show progress toward actuarial exams or VEE requirements. The programme opens in late fall and closes March 7 for the 2026-27 cycle; expect a similar early-March 2027 deadline when the next portal opens on blackactuaries.org.
INKAS Rising Star Scholarship 2027 - $2,500 CAD
The INKAS Rising Star Scholarship, funded by INKAS Armored Vehicle Manufacturing and the Khazanski Foundation, awards two $2,500 CAD prizes each year: one for Engineering and Technology and one for Business, Finance and Law. Full-time students at accredited US or Canadian universities who hold at least a 75 percent average (or equivalent GPA) may apply with a 750-word essay. US citizens, Green Card holders, and students with valid US study permits qualify alongside Canadian citizens and permanent residents. Applications for the 2027 cycle typically open in November and close January 31 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern.
SAE Doctoral Engineering Scholarship 2027 - $15,000
The SAE Doctoral Engineering Scholarship awards $15,000 to U.S. graduate students pursuing a master''s or doctorate in engineering who intend to teach engineering at the university level. SAE expects at least a 3.5 GPA, leadership through Collegiate Design Series, SAE chapters, or similar activities, transcripts, GRE scores if taken, two recommendations, and a personal statement. Apply on sae.org by February 28, 2027. Recipients are notified by late June and paid through the university in July or August.
S Evelyn Lewis Memorial Scholarship 2027
The S. Evelyn Lewis Memorial Scholarships in Medical Health Sciences from the Zeta Phi Beta National Educational Foundation support women pursuing full-time undergraduate or graduate degrees in medicine or health sciences, including high school seniors entering accredited health programs in fall 2027. The AwardSpring catalog lists $5,000 due February 1, 2027. Apply at znefscholarships.awardspring.com with transcript, three recommendations, 150-word essay, and proof of enrollment.
POET Never Satisfied Scholarship 2027 - $5,000
The POET Never Satisfied Scholarship Program awards up to $75,000 total each cycle to U.S. students enrolled at accredited two- or four-year colleges, technical schools, or graduate programs in agriculture, finance, accounting, communications, engineering, computer science, human resources, or related majors. Four-year students typically receive $5,000 and two-year or technical students receive $2,500, plus networking with POET leaders and optional shadow days in Sioux Falls. There is no minimum GPA. You answer three essay questions, may submit an optional project, and apply on poet.com/neversatisfied. The 2026 cycle closed 13 February 2026; the next intake is expected to follow the same winter deadline in 2027.
PDF Student Travel Award 2027 - Up to $1,000
The PDF Student Travel Award, originally run by the Parkinson''s Disease Foundation and now folded into the Parkinson''s Foundation early-career portfolio, helps students present Parkinson''s disease research at scientific meetings. Historical standalone applications offered up to $1,000 for conference registration, transportation, and lodging when graduate or medical students, or undergraduates who completed a PDF Summer Student Fellowship, submitted budgets through the Foundation grant portal. Today the same travel support is described for Summer Student Fellowship awardees and Visiting Scholars, who may request up to $1,000 after their funded project to attend a related conference and present data from the award. Applicants justify expenses, submit receipts afterward, and file a short conference report. International students at US institutions may qualify when they meet programme rules and visa requirements.
NROC Postsecondary Education Scholarship 2027
The NROC Kathy Miles Memorial Postsecondary Education Scholarship, administered by VSAC, awards six $3,000 scholarships to Northgate Apartments residents in Burlington, Vermont who have lived on site at least six months. You need half-time enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at a Title IV school, a Northgate management certification, and essay #1. Enter NROC-PS on the Unified Scholarship Application by February 11, 2027 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern.
Norwich Women's Club Scholarship 2027
The Norwich Women''s Club Scholarship, administered by VSAC, helps Norwich, Vermont residents pay for education beyond high school at Title IV schools. Awards range from $500 to $6,000, with about ten scholarships in a typical cycle. Students of all ages may apply, including past winners. File FAFSA, complete essay #1 covering financial need and optional Woodworth Scholarship service eligibility, and enter NWCLUB on the Unified Scholarship Application by February 11, 2027 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern.
NYCT Graduate Philanthropy Fellowship 2027 - Arts
The New York Community Trust Graduate Student Philanthropy Fellowships place full-time graduate students in paid one-year roles at The Trust's midtown Manhattan office. Program Fellows work with grantmaking teams on health, equity, environment, and arts portfolios, including site visits, grant reports, and funding recommendations. Pay is $25 per hour at up to 35 hours weekly in summer and 15 to 20 hours during the academic year from June 2027 through May 2028. Apply once through Paylocity when January 2027 postings go live; the 2026 cycle closed February 25 at 11:59 p.m.
NGC College Scholarships 2027 - $4,000 Awards
National Garden Clubs, Inc. awards about 45 college scholarships of $4,000 each year to US students majoring in horticulture, environmental studies, and related fields tied to the garden club mission. Sophomores may apply for junior year; juniors, seniors, and master''s students may apply for the upcoming academic year. Submit the online NGC application, financial aid form, transcripts, one-page applicant letter, activities list, and two recommendations by February 1. Funds are mailed in late July to your financial aid office.
Nancy B Woolridge McGee Fellowship 2027 - ZNEF
The Nancy B. Woolridge McGee Graduate Fellowship from the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority National Educational Foundation awards about $500 to $1,000 to Zeta Phi Beta members pursuing a full-time graduate or professional degree at an accredited US college or university. College directories describe the fellowship as renewable for fall-through-spring study when you remain eligible. You apply through the ZNEF AwardSpring portal with transcripts, three recommendation letters, a 150-word essay, and proof of enrollment. The fund typically closes around February 1 each year, with payment sent to your institution.
Mildred Towle Scholarship 2027 - Hawaii HCF
The Mildred Towle Scholarship for African-Americans from the Hawaiʻi Community Foundation supports U.S. citizens of African-American ethnicity who demonstrate financial need and at least a 3.0 GPA while enrolled full time at a college or university in Hawaiʻi. Preference goes to social sciences related to international understanding and interracial fellowship, and to prior recipients in good standing. You do not need Hawaiʻi residency. Apply through the HCF Common Scholarship Application when the 2027-2028 cycle opens December 8, 2026 and closes February 26, 2027 at 4 p.m. HST with FAFSA, transcripts, and any fund-specific essays.
