The Kamehameha Schools Class of 1952 Nā Hoaloha O Kamehameha Scholarship from the Pauahi Foundation awards two need-based grants per cycle to full-time U.S. students at accredited post-high institutions, including vocational and trade schools. Joseph David Ahuna Scholarship 2027
The Joseph David Ahuna Scholarship from the Pauahi Foundation awards two need-based grants each cycle to full-time U.S. undergraduate or graduate students with at least a 3.5 GPA who live in Hawaiʻi or on the continental United States. You submit a financial hardship essay, Pauahi''s Student and Parent Form, W-2s, and federal tax returns, plus activities that show community service or extracurricular involvement. Johnny Pineapple Scholarship 2027 - Pauahi
The Johnny Pineapple Scholarship from the Pauahi Foundation awards up to two merit grants each cycle to full-time U.S. undergraduate or graduate students with at least a 3.5 GPA who major in Hawaiian language or Hawaiian studies. You submit a community-service essay and two recommendation letters from school, community, or religious leaders. Residents of Hawaiʻi and the continental United States may apply. Johansen 'Ohana Scholarship 2027
The Johansen ''Ohana Scholarship from the Pauahi Foundation awards one need-based grant each cycle to a full-time U.S. undergraduate or graduate student who participates in athletics and community service and plans to bring expertise back to benefit the Hawaiian community in Hawaiʻi. You submit two Pauahi essays, financial need documents, and one recommendation from a teacher or community leader. Pauahi gives preference to applicants of Hawaiian ancestry where the law allows. Huguenot Society SC Graduate Scholarship 2027
The Huguenot Society of South Carolina Graduate Scholarship awards $1,000 annually to one graduate student working toward a history degree who submits an original scholarly essay on a Huguenot topic. Papers may cover French or Walloon Protestant history from the sixteenth century to the present in any geographic area. Submit two hard copies plus a cover letter with degree details and thesis summary by December 31 for consideration the following year. Selection is committee-based; the winning author may need to provide a Word-compatible digital copy.
Ho'omāka'ika'i Endowment Fund 2027 - Pauahi
The Ho''omāka''ika''i Named Endowment Fund from the Pauahi Foundation awards one scholarship each cycle to a former Kamehameha Schools Ho''omāka''ika''i program participant who studies Hawaiian language or Hawaiian studies full time at a Hawaiʻi college or university. Juniors, seniors, and graduate students may apply. Pauahi lists no minimum GPA and welcomes applicants in Hawaiʻi and on the U.S. mainland. Preference goes to students of Hawaiian ancestry where law allows. The 2027-28 Pauahi portal opens October 1, 2026 and closes December 1, 2026.
Little Bacon Urban Achievers Scholarship 2027
The James Bacon, KS '71 Little Bacon Urban Achievers Scholarship from the Pauahi Foundation awards one grant each cycle to a full-time U.S. postsecondary student focused on vocational arts, trades, or other career credentials. You may be an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited school in Hawaiʻi or on the mainland. Pauahi gives preference to residents of Niʻihau, Hilo, or Molokaʻi and to speakers of the Niʻihau dialect of ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi, plus Hawaiian ancestry where the law allows. Goldman Babboni Fernandez Walsh Scholarship 2027
Goldman Babboni Fernandez Murphy & Walsh, known as Justice Pays, awards $1,000 through an annual essay contest for students attending or planning to attend college during the 2026-2027 academic year. Email an essay of at least two paragraphs about pursuing healthcare or legal careers, including your name and school. Applicants under 18 need parent or guardian permission and must be in good standing with their institution. Submit between August 1 and December 1, 2026 to [email protected].
Gladys & Clifford Chun Scholarship 2027 - Pauahi
The Gladys E. and Clifford T.F. Chun Scholarship from the Pauahi Foundation supports two full-time undergraduates or graduate students enrolled at a continental U.S. college or university. U.S. residents may apply through the unified Pauahi postsecondary portal when the 2027-2028 cycle opens October 1, 2026. You must not hold another Pauahi Foundation scholarship, and you need a recommendation letter addressing character, resilience, and service. No minimum GPA is listed. Pauahi gives preference to applicants of Hawaiian ancestry where law allows.

The Hartwell Hewahewaokalani Lee Loy, Sr. Scholarship from the Pauahi Foundation awards one graduate scholarship each cycle to a full-time master's or doctoral student with a demonstrated focus in education. Your undergraduate degree need not be in education, there is no published minimum GPA, and applicants in Hawaiʻi and on the U.S. continent may apply. Gen and Kelly Tanabe Scholarship 2027 - $1,000 Merit
The Gen and Kelly Tanabe Scholarship is a merit-based $1,000 award funded by authors Gen and Kelly Tanabe through genkellyscholarship.com. Legal U.S. residents in 9th grade through graduate school, including adult learners, may apply with a personal statement on the online form. A committee picks winners primarily on that essay. The site runs at least two competitions per year, including a Fall cycle that closed December 31, 2026 for the Fall 2026 competition and a July cycle.
