Michigan Society of Fellows 2027 - $63K/yr
The Michigan Society of Fellows Three-Year Fellowships place recent Ph.D.s and terminal-degree holders at the University of Michigan as non-tenure-track Assistant Professors and Postdoctoral Scholars for a 2027-2030 term. Fellows receive a $63,000 annual stipend plus benefits, teach the equivalent of one academic year spread across three years, and pursue independent research in humanities, arts, sciences, or professions. Ph.D. or comparable degrees must be completed between 1 June 2024 and 24 August 2027. Applications open 1 August 2026 and close 14 September 2026 at 11:59 PM EDT, with appointments beginning 25 August 2027.
AGA Fellowship-to-Faculty Award 2027 - $130K
The AGA-Torrey Coast Foundation Fellowship-to-Faculty Transition Award gives one North American fellow $65,000 per year for two years ($130,000 total) to protect time for clinical or translational research on gastro-esophageal cancer while preparing for a faculty career. The American Gastroenterological Association runs the programme for MD or PhD trainees in their final fellowship year or the year after, or postdocs with four to six years of research experience. You need AGA membership, an AGA-member mentor, at least 50 percent effort on the project, and a career development plan. Funding starts 1 July 2027. The 2026 application window opened 18 June 2026 and closed 15 September 2026; status notifications go out by 1 February 2027.
Harvard Environmental Fellows Program 2027 - $92,000
The Harvard Environmental Fellows Program places recent doctorate recipients with a Harvard faculty host for two years of environmental research in any discipline. The 2027 cohort is paid a salary of $92,000 a year, with employee health insurance eligibility, up to $2,500 in relocation costs and a $2,500 annual professional expenses allowance. HUCE expects to award around five fellowships, and applications close on 1 December 2026 at 5pm ET.
Neukom Fellowship 2027 - $70,000 at Dartmouth
The Neukom Fellowship is a two-year postdoctoral appointment at the Neukom Institute for Computational Science at Dartmouth College, with the option to request a third year. Fellows receive a $70,000 stipend for 2027-2028, mentors in two departments, and funds for equipment, travel and research materials. Applications for positions starting 1 September 2027 close on 1 December 2026.
Hoover Fellowship 2027 - $169,950+ Salary at Stanford
The Hoover Fellowship is a salaried research post at the Hoover Institution on the Stanford University campus, running one to three years with no teaching load. The 12-month base salary range is $169,950 to $230,000 plus a $20,000 annual housing allowance. Applications for the 2026-2027 round close at 11:59 PM PT on 17 November 2026.
NITMB Fellows Program 2027 - 3-Year Chicago Fellowship
The NITMB Fellows Program gives early-career researchers three years in Chicago to build mathematics and theory around biological questions, with a salary, research and travel stipends, an office in the John Hancock Center, and no teaching load. Applications run through MathJobs from 1 September 2026 and close on 15 November 2026 for full consideration.
NASA Hubble Fellowship Program 2027 - $87,500
The NASA Hubble Fellowship Program funds 24 new astrophysics postdocs for the 2027 class, paying $87,500 in year one at a US host institution of your choice, with up to three years of support, a $21,000 research budget and health insurance. Open to any nationality. Applications close 28 October 2026.
Stanford Science Fellowship 2027 - $98,000 Stipend
The Stanford Science Fellowship pays early-career natural scientists a $98,000 annual stipend for three years of postdoctoral research at Stanford, plus up to $10,000 a year for research and up to $2,500 for relocation. Open to all nationalities. Apply through Academic Jobs Online by 16 October 2026.
UMAPS Fellowship 2027 - African Faculty at Michigan
The UMAPS Fellowship (University of Michigan African Presidential Scholars) brings early-career faculty from African colleges and universities to Ann Arbor for a five-month research residency in 2027-2028. The African Studies Center funds the stay, including travel, housing and a stipend, pairs each scholar with a U-M faculty host, and takes applications until 15 October 2026.
Wilson Center Research Fellowship 2027 - $10,000/Month
The Wilson Center Research Fellowship 2027-2028 pays scholars, policy practitioners and journalists $10,000 a month for 12 months to research and write on a foreign policy challenge. You work remotely, with two paid trips to Washington, DC. Applicants of any nationality can apply through Interfolio by 11:59 pm ET on 30 September 2026.
Notre Dame Kellogg Visiting Fellowship 2027 - $75,000
The Notre Dame Kellogg Visiting Fellowship 2027-2028 brings recent PhDs to the Kellogg Institute for International Studies for an academic year of research on global democracy. Postdoctoral fellows receive a $75,000 stipend, up to $7,500 a year in research funds, up to $2,000 for relocation, medical insurance benefits and the option of a furnished campus apartment in year one. Open to applicants from any country, with applications due 1 October 2026 through Interfolio.
Notre Dame Provost Fellowship 2027 - $75,000 Postdoc
The Notre Dame Provost Fellowship 2027 is a two-year postdoctoral appointment in the College of Arts and Letters at the University of Notre Dame. Eight fellows are hired for the 2027-2029 cohort, one each in Art, Art History and Design; English; German, Slavic and Eurasian Studies; Philosophy; Romance Languages and Literatures; Theology; the Initiative on Race and Resilience; and History and Philosophy of Science. Each fellow draws an annual salary of $75,000 plus $15,000 for research and training costs, gets office space, an assigned faculty mentor, and the option to teach without being required to. Applications go through Interfolio and close 1 December 2026 at 11:59pm EST, with decisions by 1 March 2027.
