Brave of Heart Scholarship 2026 - Up to $50,000/yr
The Brave of Heart Scholarship, administered by Scholarship America for the Brave of Heart Fund, supports children age 26 and under, spouses, and domestic partners of frontline healthcare workers who died from COVID-19-related causes. Eligible U.S. citizens and legal residents need at least a 2.0 GPA and may enroll full-time or part-time at accredited vocational, two-year, four-year, or graduate schools. Undergraduates in any field qualify; graduate study must be patient-facing healthcare such as medicine, nursing, or physician assistant programs. Awards are need-based and non-competitive: qualifying applicants receive funding up to $15,000 per year for non-healthcare undergraduates, $25,000 for healthcare or pre-med undergraduates, or $50,000 for eligible graduate healthcare majors, with lifetime caps. The 2026 cycle was the program''s final year; applications ran from 19 February through 22 April 2026 with notification in late June and August payment.
UPS/NLF Gold Mountain Scholarship 2026 - $5,000
The UPS/NLF Gold Mountain Scholarships from the NAPABA Law Foundation award $5,000 to two law students each year who are the first in their immediate family to attend law school. You must be enrolled in good standing at an ABA- or AALS-accredited US law school, hold US citizenship or permanent residency, show financial need, and demonstrate commitment to pro bono or public-interest work serving Asian Pacific American communities. Apply through the combined 2026 NLF online application by 23 September 2026 at 5 p.m. Eastern. Do not confuse this law-school award with the separate OCA-UPS Gold Mountain program for high school seniors.
Phyllis Lister-Brown Scholarship 2026 - DFW Law
The Phyllis Lister Brown Memorial Scholarship from the J.L. Turner Legal Association Foundation honors a minority law student who has excelled academically and is tied to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Formerly called the Judge's Scholarship, it is one of five JLTLAF merit awards funded through the annual Scholarship and Awards Gala. Second- and third-year students at ABA-accredited US law schools who are US citizens or permanent residents in good standing may apply if they are from DFW or attend law school there. Amounts vary each year. Submit the 2026 application PDF and full packet by 5:00 p.m. Central on 25 September 2026.
Albers-Alexander LGBTQ Law Scholarship 2027 - $10K
Horizons Foundation's Albers-Alexander LGBTQ Law Scholarship Fund awards up to $10,000 to LGBTQ first-, second-, or third-year students at Berkeley Law, UC Davis School of Law, UC College of the Law San Francisco, Santa Clara University School of Law, or the University of Wisconsin Law School. Selection prioritizes leadership for the LGBTQ community, significant financial need, and applicants who face educational access barriers such as LGBTQ students of color, transgender students, immigrants, or first-generation college students. Funds go directly to your law school, not to you personally. The 2026-27 portal opens 14 September 2026, applications are due 27 October 2026, and awards are announced in December 2026.
A1 Solar Solar Pitch Scholarship 2027 - $1,000
The A1 Solar Scholarship Solar Pitch contest from A1 SolarStore awards $1,000 to a US college student with a sustainability, climate, or renewable energy focus who submits a bold 90-second video pitch about a solar-powered idea. Register on a1solarstore.com, receive filming instructions by email, post the public video on Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube while tagging A1 SolarStore, and compete on creativity and impact rather than production polish. Season 3 concluded in late 2025; the next cycle is expected in 2027 with details posted on the official scholarship page.
A Flight Away Scholarship 2026 - $2,000 Out of State
A Flight Away is a $2,000 scholarship from A Leap Ahead Foundation for students attending college outside their home state. The award helps cover relocation, travel, and housing costs that out-of-state tuition does not pay. Parents and alumni who once left home for school fund the program through the Malden, Massachusetts-based foundation. Applications open 1 October 2026 on aleapaheadfoundation.org. Associate, bachelor''s, and graduate students nationwide may apply when the portal is live.
College Monk No Essay Scholarship 2026 - $1,500
The College Monk $1,500 No Essay Scholarship from College Savings Holding runs as an annual random drawing for students age 18 or older who are in high school, in college, or starting accredited US study within six months. US citizens and international students with a valid visa may enter through the online form or a mailed postcard. There is no GPA minimum and no essay required for the drawing. The prize is paid as a $1,500 check to your college. Apply at thecollegemonk.com by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on 15 October 2026.
Blood Cancer Survivors Scholarship 2027 - $7,500
The Scholarship for Blood Cancer Survivors from Blood Cancer United (formerly the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society) pays up to $7,500 for one year of tuition and tuition-related fees at vocational, trade, two-year, or four-year undergraduate programs in the United States. You must be a US citizen or permanent resident, diagnosed with a blood cancer at age 25 or younger, and enrolled or planning to enroll full-time or part-time. Graduate programs are not eligible. Awards disburse through Utah my529 accounts after you submit a diagnosis verification form. Applications for the 2027-28 academic year open 3 August 2026 and close 30 September 2026 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern.
Ability Scholarship 2027 - $1,000 Disability Essay
Solution Now Law Firm's Ability Scholarship awards $1,000 to one US student with a visible or invisible disability who writes a 750-1,000 word essay on turning challenges into strength. Legal residents of all fifty states and Washington, D.C. may apply if they are high school seniors, vocational students, undergraduates, or graduate students enrolled in a vocational or two- to four-year postsecondary program with at least a 3.0 GPA. Submit the online form, resume, transcript or acceptance proof, and original essay. Essays are screened for AI-generated text. Preference goes to students from or attending secondary school in California. The sponsor typically closes applications on 31 October each year, with a winner chosen the following month.
Stan and Mary Stark Alumni Scholarship 2026
The Stan and Mary Stark Alumni Scholarship from the National Junior Horticultural Association helps NJHA youth ages 15 through 22 return to the annual convention after attending at least one prior NJHA convention. Up to three applicants may receive registration costs for the current year's convention. Submit a state NJHA leader recommendation, résumé, and a multi-part letter covering NJHA involvement, 4-H or FFA activities, school and work history, and financial need electronically to Stan and Mary Stark by 22 September 2026. One scholarship per family per year.
Juris Education Legal Scholarship 2027 - $1,000+
The Juris Education Legal Education Scholarship awards more than $1,000 in service credits, equal to five hours of LSAT tutoring or law school admissions consulting from Juris Education in New York. Applicants follow Juris Education on social media, post a two-minute public video with required hashtags, write a 250-word diversity essay, and submit a Google Form with a transcript link. Fall applications typically close 15 September with winners announced in October; the spring cycle opens 1 December and closes 15 April. Credits expire one year after you receive them and do not pay law school tuition.
Alsandor Law Firm Scholarship 2027 - $1,000 Video
The Alsandor Law Firm Scholarship Contest awards $1,000 to the US college student who submits the strongest one- to two-minute video essay on why they want to become a lawyer. Cheryl Alsandor leads a Houston family law practice, yet eligibility is nationwide for students at two- or four-year accredited colleges who are US citizens. You record in plain English, publish the clip on your own YouTube channel, and complete the firm online application once the annual page returns at alsandorlaw.com. Historical cycles closed around 14-15 September; the 2027 contest is expected to follow that mid-September window after the firm republishes instructions.
