TheDream.US National Scholarship 2027 - Up to $33,000
TheDream.US National Scholarship helps first-generation immigrant students with or without DACA or TPS pay for an associate or bachelor's degree at a Partner College. Awards cover tuition and fees up to $33,000 for a bachelor's or $8,250 for an associate degree, plus up to $6,000 for books, supplies, and transportation. Applicants need to have arrived in the US before age 16 and before November 1, 2020, hold a 2.5+ GPA, show significant unmet need, and cannot be eligible for a Federal Pell Grant. The 2026-27 round opens November 1, 2026 and closes February 28, 2027.
Student Essay Contest 2027 - Americans United
Americans United for Separation of Church and State runs the AU Student Contest for high school and undergraduate students in the fifty states, DC, and US territories. Enter with a short essay or video on church-state separation using separate 2026 prompts, or submit both. First-place prizes reach $1,500 in each level with additional $500 awards. Apply through au.org/studentcontest by Monday, 5 October 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Winners may be published in Church & State magazine.
Churchill Scholarship 2027 - Cambridge STEM Award
The Churchill Scholarship sends up to 18 US citizens each year to Churchill College, Cambridge for one year of master's study in science, mathematics, engineering, or science policy. The Winston Churchill Foundation covers tuition, UK visa and health surcharge costs, round-trip airfare, a stipend above the UK Research Council rate, and eligibility for a $4,000 research grant, with total value over $80,000.
