Nickens Medical Student Scholarship 2027 - $5,000

Ford Diversity Fellowship 2027 - PhD Stipend Guide
The Ford Foundation Fellowships, administered for decades by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, supported predoctoral, dissertation, and postdoctoral scholars committed to diversifying college faculties. Predoctoral awards historically paid a $27,000 annual stipend for up to three years plus conference access and mentoring networks. Ford Foundation announced a sunset plan that funds new predoctoral cohorts through 2023 and limited 2024 awards while continuing support for current fellows through 2028. No new predoctoral competition is expected for 2027 applicants.

Hettie M. Anthony Fellowship 2027 - $2,000
The Hettie M. Anthony Fellowship is a Kappa Omicron Nu (KON) doctoral research award of $2,000 from the Kappa Omicron Phi Fellowship Fund honoring the founder of Kappa Omicron Phi at Northwest Missouri State University. Active KON members in good standing who are progressing in a doctoral program in family and consumer sciences or related specializations apply through KON''s graduate fellowship process at kon.org/scholarships, with three recommendations and institutional approval. KON opens ProposalSpace applications February 1 and closes April 10 each year; confirm the named Anthony slot on the live form.
GCA Tropical Botany Fellowship 2027 - $5,500
The Garden Club of America Fellowship in Tropical Botany, administered with the National Tropical Botanical Garden since 2023, awards two or more $5,500 grants each year for independent doctoral field research in tropical botany and forest ecology. EPP/MSI Undergraduate Scholarship 2027 - NOAA
NOAA''s José E. Serrano Educational Partnership Program with Minority Serving Institutions (EPP/MSI) Undergraduate Scholarship Program (USP) supports rising juniors at accredited MSIs nationwide with up to $9,500 per academic year for two years, two paid 10-week NOAA summer internships, travel, housing subsidies, and professional development. You must be a U.S. citizen or national, hold at least a 3.2 GPA, and major in a NOAA mission field. Applications share the Hollings portal and typically close January 31. I Have a Dream Scholarship 2027 - $1,500 Unigo
Unigo's I Have a Dream Scholarship awards $1,500 to one legal U.S. resident age 14 or older who writes a 250-word essay about what they dream about, from a bizarre sleep dream to future hopes. You must be enrolled or will enroll in an accredited college, university, or trade school no later than fall 2027. Residents of all 50 states and the District of Columbia may apply. Pittenger American History Scholarship 2027 - $2K/yr
The Dr. Aura-Lee A. and James Hobbs Pittenger American History Scholarship from DAR gives $2,000 per year for up to four years to graduating high school seniors who will earn an undergraduate degree with at least 24 credit hours in American history and American government. Renewal requires a 3.25 GPA and annual transcript review. US citizens apply on DAR AcademicWorks from November 1, 2026 through January 31, 2027 at 11:59 p.m. Hawaii Time. Citizens abroad may apply through a Units Overseas Chapter.
DOE CSGF 2027 - $45,000 Stipend & Full Tuition
The Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellowship (DOE CSGF), administered by the Krell Institute, funds US citizens and permanent residents pursuing PhDs that use high-performance computing to solve science and engineering problems. Fellows receive a $45,000 annual stipend, full tuition and required fees for up to four years, a $1,000 professional development allowance, a 12-week DOE laboratory practicum, and annual program reviews.
